Training in educational escape games, as part of the project Youth Escape COVID

Training in educational escape games, as part of the project Youth Escape COVID

As part of the European project Youth Escape COVID, funded by the #ErasmusPlus program, this week a group of youth workers is taking part in a training mobility.

The project’s aim is to provide innovative non-formal educational tools, which will help young people in the effort of adapting to the post-pandemic world. In the specific, the project has the goal of sustaining the development of competences of people aged 16 to 25, accelerating digital transformation and boosting creativity.

The participants are hosted by our Romanian partner #ScoutSocietyAssociation, in Novaçi. English is the language used in the sessions, as the participants come from Spain, Italy, Turkey, Chyprus, Portugal and Romania.

Yesterday morning we had the pleasure of meeting online Liz Cable, senior lecturer at Leeds Trinity University and specialized in game-based learning. Our goal? Understanding the importance of learning through play and the steps necessary to develop an educational escape game. Then, participants will apply what they learnt by creating tools of informal education, useful across Europe.

During the training the participants have the opportunity of playing various educational escape games.

The parterns working at the project are: Deses-3 from Spain, Eufemia from Italy, Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa in Turkey, Synthesis from Chyprus, Fajub from Portugal, Cap Ulysse from France and the coordinator Scout Society Association from Romania.
